This series reflects the ever turbulent state of the world. The choices we make affect the weather to come. Whether or not we are willing to look at this remains to be seen.
Raining down, splashing across, kicking and breaching the canvas are some of the techniques used. There are moments when control gives way; the materials’ interaction governed by laws of natural occurrence, the effects of gravity, evaporation and chance.
Beautiful moments happen when a painting is drying. Tinted puddles of paint vibrate to the trains passing and ripple with gusts of wind. There is always a chance they will dry differently than I thought and that some precious moments, will no longer be there to see.
